Well as much as I'm sure Adam hates it, I often refer to him as my own little "Rachel Ray, Bob Villa, Martha Stewart..and whoever that old guy painter was who I used to watch on PBS as a kid"..."happy trees"
anywhoo...Its only natural that I ask if his Martha Stewart side could be on her "A game" for James 4th B-day party! And yes he is 4, how the time goes by!
So he said yes! Originally we didn't want to have a party being that we live in a town home with not the amount of room for the amount of people we'd like to invite, but as I kept thinking about it if we didn't have a party it would be the first time we didn't make a big deal about his B-day, and I was not about to have any of that!!! Especially since this will be his first b-day that he really is aware of whats going on.
So as Adam began to tell me his ideas about the party... I about objected to every one of them...(not sure why I ever doubt him, everything the kid does comes out AMAZING)..but I finally said "you are the artist do whatever you want!"
And so he did and this was the result:
He bought I green table cloth at the Dollarstore as well as roll of brown paper, he took the table cloth and the brown paper and started cuttin it up! I didnt really get what he was doing until he started putting it on the walls, at that point I was blown away at how awesome it looked. He also took some brown paper bags from under the kitchen sink and turned those into leaves (I told you, the man is half Martha Stewart!)
So after the walls were done he then began to hang streamers from the roof and walls, He bought green, brown and gray. He took those and crunched the up and cut them and then hung them to look like a jungle, he also placed the leaves he made all over...SOO COOL!
He didnt think this was enough so he went to the store and bought some black poster board...then cut out Dinos and placed them throughout the house......
And how can any dino party be complete without gaint Dino foot prints!
So next is where his "Rachel Ray" comes out full swing, James cake was amazing!...The cake design was my idea, but there is no way I could have ever made it so im glad he did!! He made it out of Chocolate Fugde cake and icing, Crushed up Chocolate Graham Crakers, Brown sprinkles and fianly white butter cream icing for for the bones!!
....cant believe how talented he is!!Our food for our guests was general snacks, but the best part was
!!DINO PB &J SANDWICHES!!
James had the biggest smile when we sang Happy Birthday to him!!!

So after it was all said and done it was a BLAST! Everyone had a great time, food was good, cake was good and there were no meltdowns on record for the afternoon!
